Pastoral Care Group

Pastoral Care Group - Information

It has been thought for some time that our church would benefit greatly, and be of benefit to the community, if we had a Pastoral Care Group. We have now established a core task group to organise this!

We hope to make a start by providing some or all of the following:-

(and hopefully much more eventually!)

Transport – perhaps to church, hospital appointments or visits or shopping

Visits - to housebound, those who are ill either at home or in hospital, those recently bereaved

Provision of meals - to those just home from hospital, the bereaved, those with a new baby in the household

Cards/letters - to those in hospital, on Cradle roll, or on significant dates for the bereaved

We are now in the process of taking this forward, identifying issues such as necessary training etc and creating a structure by which to manage the project.

We need some of you to be drivers, visitors, cooks and bakers!

If you feel you could volunteer, or contribute in any way, or know of anyone who could benefit from some of the services mentioned above please speak with Marc, Anthea, Evelyn or Karin. An email address for this group is currently being decided upon, and information will become available shortly

Thank you.

"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' 40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:37-40
